BJ Ramone was born into the music world ready to put his ears to work.  At a young age, BJ began studying instruments. Starting with the violin, he moved to the piano and added the guitar to his repertoire when he turned 13.  BJ performed on Broadway as a singer with Raffi and in the same year recorded with Gloria Estefan on her Christmas Album.

After testing the performance waters, BJ found his love working behind the scenes as an audio engineer and producer. Starting at the age of 12, BJ recorded whatever he could onto his 4-track cassette tape.  Finally, high school bands provided more practice while BJ upgraded to a 16 -track digital recorder. It wasn’t until college, BJ became more exposed and experienced to recording software, such as Pro Tools, Nuendo, Digital Performer...

After finishing his studies at Skidmore College, he started his own record label, 78/79 records.  The name representing the atomic numbers of platinum and gold, BJ plans to produce records of such caliber.
